The College of DuPage men’s tennis team competed in a dual match against McHenry County College on April 23. The men’s team first competed in three doubles matches and transitioned to singles matches. Freshmen Natalie Nadelhoffer and Marissa Camacho also competed in two exhibition matches.
Sophomore Patrick Kozbial and freshman Giovanni Velasco won their double match 8-1, while freshmen Brandon Dumbell and Mohamed Lukmanji lost a close 7-9 matchup and Pablo Espinosa and Ibrahim Tayeb lost 0-8. Three Chaparrals won singles matches against the Scots; Dumbell won 6-1 and 6-2, Lukmanji won 6-0 and 7-6 and Velasco won 6-1 and 6-1.
The men and women’s teams will compete at the NJCAA National Championships at Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. from May 9 to May 11.
