The COD men’s basketball team played 11 games during the winter break from Dec. 14 to Jan. 23. The Chaps entered the break with a 8-3 record and played 10 total games. One match against Elmhurst College JV was postponed.
On Dec. 14, the Chaps won 68-66 against Morton College. On Dec.18, the Chaps ended with a 54-82 loss to Oakton College. On Dec. 20, COD claimed a 94-69 win against Carl Sandburg College. On Jan. 4, the Chaps lost 71-74 to Prairie State College. On Jan. 6, the team won 83-57 against North Central JV. On Jan. 9, COD took a 92-70 victory over Olivet Nazarene JV. On Jan. 11, the Chaps went into overtime before claiming a 90-87 win at Olive-Harvey College. On Jan. 14, COD claimed a 65-53 win at Harper College. On Jan. 18, the Chaps beat Wilbur Wright College with a 75-69 victory. On Jan. 23, the Chaps closed their winter break schedule with a 70-81 loss at Bryant & Stratton College.
The men’s team ended the winter break with an overall regular season win-loss record of 15-6. COD’s next home game is Feb. 4 against Rock Valley College at 7 p.m.
