The National Museum of Mexican Art held its opening ceremony for its Día de Muertos Exhibit, “Living Presence.” 18 local artists created ofrendas and alters to remember those who are no longer with us and memorialized women around the world who have been killed, violated or missing. Admission is always free for the museum. With flowers, candles, food and drinks, guests celebrate their loved ones, along with the thousands of people who died from the 2023 earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Exhibition continues through Dec. 10.
