The College of DuPage women’s basketball team competed against Bryant and Stratton Community College on Feb. 5. The 7-18 Chaparrals couldn’t handle the competitive 9-11 Bobcats and lost 53-84.
COD had a strong first quarter where Lexi Lopez contributed ten points, Jaimie Hasemann contributed six points and a three-point shot by Kaisje Pryor took the Chapparals ahead 19-16 in the first quarter.
The Bobcats took over in the second quarter, scoring 24 points and holding the Chaparrals to seven points. The Chaparrals went into the half 26-40.
Pryor and Erin Brown added more points to the board in the third quarter while Ayani Gusman and Hasemann added points in the fourth quarter The Chaparrals lost the contest 53-84.
COD will travel to Palatine Ill. to play Harper College on Feb. 10.
