On Aug. 5, Blackwell Forest Preserve hosted an Open House for the community to come out and try their hands at archery. Instructors stood by to help guide and teach people how to properly shoot. Usually, the forest preserve, located in Warrenville, IL, requires archers to bring their own equipment and have a permit from the Forest Preserve District. However, the open house allowed people of all ages to get a taste of the sport.
