Between April 17 to April 19, CODCON comes back hosted by the College of DuPage Sci-Fi/Fantasy & Gaming Club and the Anime & Cosplay Club to a wide range of activities to do and experiment with friends.
Located in the Student Resource Center 2000, people could play tabletop roleplaying games and board games, along with booths near the entrance and inside the room to purchase trading cards, artwork, comics, jewelry, stickers and much more.
This year the Maid Café, the video game room, cosplay events and live-action roleplaying (LARPing) were located in the Student Services Center (SSC) instead of the Health and Science Center.
The video game room, located in SSC 1108, had many games and consoles that people can play on such as the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 for attendees to casually play. Participants could also join a gaming competition hosted by I Play Games for Street Fighter 6 on April 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Super Smash Bros. on April 18 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Mario Kart World on April 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
LARPing was located in SSC room 1101. This was hosted by Amtgard, where participants could fight with fake swords. The Maid Café was nearby in SSC room 1103 to serve refreshments to guests. The panel rooms were located in SSC 1104 and SSC 1138, where cosplay, anime and idol events were open.
CODCON will return next year between April 16 to April 18 for its 30th anniversary.
