Lakeside Pavilion hosts free family entertainment

The Lakeside Pavilion has opened its seats to kick off the MAC season. A variety of shows can be found, all free to the public. Here are some of the highlights the pavilion will host within the upcoming months.

Frozen Sing-A-Long: July 16

Bring your family and friends to the Pavilion’s outdoor screening of frozen. Exercise your voices and sing along. Costumes are also encouraged. The pavilion line-up includes a few more sing along this summer. Also mark your calendars to sing along to Grease on July 23, and Annie on July 30.

 “American English:” July 17

Let this Beatles tribute band take you back to the old days as they travel through The Beatles’ past. They have been voted the best in Chicagoland, so you don’t want to miss the opportunity.

New Philharmonic: Aug 7

A MAC favorite, the New Philharmonic Orchestra, will visit the Pavilion to showcase a large variety of pop music. Listeners can expect today’s best songs with a mix of Broadway tunes.

U.S Air Force Shades of Blue Jazz Band: Aug 16

These 18 enlisted musicians will take your attendees through a large variety of jazz music genres. The set may also include original compositions by the band members. The band has backed up some major acts, including Joe Morello.

The Hit Men:” Aug 21

This band is made up of former stars from “The Four Seasons” and “Frankie Valli.” They will take listeners through hit songs from both groups. They will also tell stories of their times with the artists they worked with, from Frankie Valli to Carly Simon. This is a show you won’t want to miss.
